A Morning of Flower Arranging October 2015
The Friends of Holbrook-Palmer Park spent a morning making floral arrangements at Random Acts of Flowers (“RAF”), which were delivered later that day to several local care facilities and a hospice center. The morning started with a tutorial from a professional florist who is also one of RAF’s dedicated volunteers. Many of us received additional tips from our own Lynn Ellington! The floral donations that were re-purposed by the Friends were really spectacular, and included roses, hydrangea, iris, lilies, and sunflowers. The new arrangements were sure to bring a “moment of happiness” to the recipients.
A warm thank you to Jessica Coulombe, Camille Kennedy and the rest of the RAF staff for hosting the Friends. And a special thanks to RAF board member Gillian Growdon for her assistance in making the morning possible – it was enjoyed by everyone!
